http://www.burchlawoffice.com/Blog_System/Recent_Blog_Posts/RSS.xml http://www.burchlawoffice.com//Blog/2009/June/Dump_Truck_Wreck_in_Greenville_NC.aspx http://www.burchlawoffice.com//Blog/2009/June/Dump_Truck_Wreck_in_Greenville_NC.aspx Tue, 09 Jun 2009 22:25:00 GMT <p><span class="publishdate"><span>June 09, 2009 </span></span></p> <p>Local residents complain that there have been&nbsp;serious wrecks at the same intersection of Pocosin Road and N.C. 903 South where Monday's dump truck collision occurred.&nbsp; A helicopter was required to airlift one of the occupants to Pitt County Memorial Hospital.&nbsp; The Dump Truck was operated by Jasper Jones and owned by Jasper Jones Trucking.&nbsp; The North Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the collision and reported that the driver of the dump truck attempted to swerve when the driver of a Buick vehicle made a left turn onto the highway from Pocosin Road, but the dump truck collided with the driver's side of the Buick.&nbsp; The Buick was so badly damaged that the roof&nbsp;had to be removed by the Winterville Fire Department in order to extricate the driver&nbsp;for transport to the hospital.&nbsp; Area residents question why the intersection has not been evaluated by the State for modification&nbsp;given the previous accidents at this same intersection.</p> Tim Burch
